When did you get your Pin-Up how-to DVD featuring Bettina May?

Approximately 6 months ago.

What made you decide to get the DVD? 

​

Miss May’s positive attitude and grounded common-sense approachable style of teaching. 

​

Was it an easy decision, or something you had to step outside your comfort zone to make happen? 

​

It was a very easy decision! I’ve never stopped wearing hosiery or closed-toe heels, even when it fell out of favor with modern concepts of style. 

​

Did you have any previous experience with a vintage look, or was this a brand new experience for you? 

​

I have always worn what I felt comfortable in – and that just happens to be female-figure-friendly skirts/dresses/tops with ample “Boom Boom” room in which to glide (or sashay, depending on my mood ;-)) effortlessly. 

​

Did you go on to pursue more photoshoots, or take another class with Bettina? 

​

I have not had the pleasure of taking a class with Bettina YET, but I did study her very helpful DVD prior to my first photoshoot at the age of Fabulous Fifty!

How do you feel your life has changed since? 

​

Absolutely more comfortable in my own skin, my own style, my own take on Retro…thoroughly enjoy the many positive comments and seeing people smile! Also like to spread the word of how achievable the Retro look is and go a few steps further and give helpful resource info (such as Bettina May’s DVDs, classes, books, websites, etc).

What would you want to tell other people who want to try something new with their life but aren‘t confident enough to take the plunge? 

​

Follow your heart. Ignore all negative naysayers – that’s their issue, always keep your outlook sunny and spread the positive vibe!
